Forensic Consultation |
|
|
|
|
Forensic
consultation is a one-on-one or small
group opportunity to "tune up"
professional skills, review and expand
methods and measures, broaden
empirical foundations, and/or gain
perspective on a particular child or
family matter.
Forensic consultation can occur on an
ad hoc or continuing basis and
can be conducted in person or via
remote video platforms. Consultation
can be conveniently offered to small
groups in association with Dr.
Garber's large group trainings.
Dr. Garber provides forensic
consultation to mental health
professionals, Guardians ad litem,
attorneys, judicial officers, and the
courts.
Consultation is NOT supervision. As a
prerequisite to providing
consultation, Dr. Garber will provide
participants with a Service Agreement
(SA) detailing the nature and
limitations of the service. The SA
will clarify that Dr. Garber cannot
accept responsibility for
participants' professional decisions.
Consultation and expert witness
services are generally not mutually
compatible. To learn more about the
distinction between the two services
and which might best suit your
particular needs, click the UNSURE?
button at left.
